When I was in grad school, writing my thesis in various coffee shops around Minneapolis, I knew which shop had sun in which windows at which times of day. At the moment, I'm sitting by my sunny south-facing window, coffee and cookie in hand. It's quiet. I have a bit of time ahead of me. There's nothing more I could ask for as far as ambiance. Now I just have to jump over the looming hurdles that are this revision.
It's an awfully nice way to spend an afternoon, although I have to say I sometimes wish writing (and particularly revising) weren't so solitary.
That sounds like an excellent spot for writing. I like your blog!
